My Hardy 21 Motor Sailor was built in 1985 by Hardy Marine Ltd. What attracted me was Hardy’s reputation of being very robust seaworthy boats. It has twin bilge keels and sits well in its mud berth. The main engine is a Volvo Penta 2002 saildrive which has proven to be very reliable, dependable and manoeuvrable. Steering is provided by tiller from the external cockpit, and by wheel internally in the cabin.
The external cockpit is self draining, the unique feature of the 21. Two rear lockers house the gas bottle and fuel tanks, as well as space for all the usual boat clutter.
