1983 Twister 28
It is said that the Twister 28 is so called because the designer Kim Holman's brief was to 'twist' the rules for racing yacht measurement! He achieved a lot more than that with the Twister, they are hugely popular and unconditionally loved by their owners and grace start lines of both classic and handicap fleets as well as extensively cruise coastal waters and happily cross oceans. This particular example is all wood, surprising considering her age. The owner spent 20 years constructing her using the finest timber available and eventually launched her in 1983. Twenty five years later she wa... read more

1987 Wauquiez Centurion 38
Henri Wauquiez established an initially small shipyard in 1965 in Northeastern France. With a strong association with British designers (Hood and Dubois amongst them) the yard specialised in quality offshore sailing boats with both performance and comfort in mind. The Wauquiez Centurion range began with the earliest and smallest, the 32 in 1968 and most recently up to the Centurion 61 which was in production in 2021. The Centurion 38 has all the Wauquiez ethos in abundance. Her powerful sloop rig is easily controlled with lines leading into the cockpit and she feels very safe and secure as... read more

1981 Richard Dunstan Workboats RMAS Waterbus (Snub Nose) Class
Take a moment to pause and imagine life on board, surrounded by the countryside and river - it could be bliss! Especially as this boat could come with her own riverside berthing, complete with lawn and large flower bed, by separate negotiation. This Richard Dunston Work Boat is believed to have been built for the Ministry of Defence and based at Portsmouth naval dockyard and used to ferry Royal Navy staff around the harbour and bases located there until 2003, when she was apparently sold to a dive company and converted to a dive vessel until she fell into private hands in 2018. Now she ... read more

1986 Hood 38
The Hood 38 was designed by world renowned yachtsman and sail maker Ted Hood and built in France by Chantiers Wauquiez. They produced a yacht that shows fusion between the styles of boat design at that time. They were strongly built to a high standard with an excellent reputation for seaworthiness and safe comfortable passage-making. The more European sleek lines make her a very attractive looking yacht and so it's surprising when you go below how spacious she is. This is the Mk II, a vastly improved companionway and interior layout from the early boats which were first produced in 1976. Th... read more

1974 Westerly Pentland
The experience of being rescued en route to his home mooring after engine failure has led the owner to give up sailing. This is a pity because this Westerly Pentland looks in good condition to me and was antifouled with new anode in June 2025. The rigging was done in 2017, the upholstery is clean (though worn in the fore cabin), but this seems, overall, to be a well-cared for boat. The only other major issue is the shredded UV strip on the roller furler. The algae stains on the sail covers should be easily addressed. The spray hood is in good condition. It has a new diesel fuelled heater... read more

1998 Monterey 262
Very smart looking Monterey 262, these are solidly built boats and the owner confirmed this when seeing the hole cut out for the new bow thruster the piece was nearly an inch thick (see photo). Her owner has loved owning her but now wants to change boats. She is a lot of boat in her 262 model with 4 berths double in the V saloon and double aft cabin plus you can use the sunbed in the cockpit. She offers a generous galley and heads with shower. Upholstery and headlinings look to be good and her exterior hull/topsides have a good shine. During her current ownership she has had lots of good main... read more

1998 Faeton 780 Moraga
The Faeton Moraga is a fishing boat oriented design providing flexibility of use with style and function. Excellent access to all areas of the deck is supported with ample handholds by bow rails and grab handles on top of wheelhouse. Seating in the cockpit is in the wheelhouse and its lee and provides good shelter against elements. In the middle of cockpit is a raised bait preparation area that includes a sink and storage box under lids that can double as a work surface; There is even a shower head to clean the fish. Cabin is designed with great depth and high headroom. The dinette c... read more

2019 Robertson and Caine Leopard 4500
The Leopard 45 needs no introduction - the 2017 Boat of the Year by Cruising World Magazine. This marks the 7th Cruising World Boat of the Year win by Leopard. The layout of these models on deck and below are simply the best use of the available space. Not only is there the large aft cockpit but foredeck seating - this area is superb on hot days offering shade but breeze while at anchor. The interior, saloon and galley areas are extremely spacious and so are the 4 double cabins and heads. This particular example also has the bow crew cabin via the deck hatch. The L45 had a indep... read more

1895 Tjalk Hollandaise
This Tjalk Hollandaise is a sought-after classic ex-working sailing barge with a huge amount of character and history. She started as a trading barge in the south of Holland, had a brief spell owned by the church as a houseboat during WWII assisting people bombed out of their homes and then was found and restored by two extremely knowledgeable enthusiasts who have both lived aboard and sailed her at sea and through the canals. More recently she has fallen on harder times after the passing of her owner and now needs repainting and possibly some recommissioning before she sails again. Engine ... read more
